Voyage to Texas Part 2...

I had my alarm set for 5:45 on Friday, but guess what it didn't happen. I got up at 6:30 showered and got ready. Then I woke up the teenager and she got ready we packed up, grabbed the free breakfast, which was surprisingly good. Eggs, sausage, gravy, fruits and pastries.... But I digress, we got our stuff in the car and realized the car is a leaky boat, we new some of it, but there was a big puddle in the trunk. Oh well, we gotta get on the road. We did an emergency Douche up with the GPS and the Radar Detector. I am surprised Dean Winchester doesn't get more speeding tickets....

This was a site a saw a lot... not very good gas milage.

The drive was pretty uneventful. We got hit with some rain again but not to bad. We actually arrived at the Westin, pretty much 1:15pm, as I pulled up the Valet came running and explained to me that we got to park them in the Breeze way behind to keep them out of the rain. :D yay... As we get to the back, there are Lisa and Adam and it's like we've been friends forever. We chit chat and they look at baby blue. They love the shape she is in and all. Then we get to the room which is right next to them. Anika and I freshen up and meet them back down by the cars. We missed Rob Benedict's panel. Ariel and Jamison have problems with Lilith she is in the shop and I was so sad.
Stefany and her car Bella are not there yet either. We get a few fans coming down and taking pictues which some of them I found on tumblr. It's kind of weird. I can't quiet remember what else we did on Friday before Karaoke, it's a bit of a blur. LOL Karaoke was a blast, after we went down to the cars again. And we were there maybe 15mins, Rick Worthy shows up. He looks at me and asks is this your Car? And I answer Yes. He goes, you know blue is my favorite color... and that's how come Rick Worthy sat in Baby Blue. He even looked under the hood. It was an awesome evening....

More to come in part 3...

The Voyage to Texas... Part 1

We got up early on Thrusday (as in 4am) to get to the Airport. We made it in time for the plane but it was delayed. I got some sleep on the plane, but not much.
In Denver I was a bit worried cause we had like 30mins to change planes. Good thing we got off at our gate and just had to go across to the other gate to board our plane. We gate checked out luggage, and were allowed to board right away.
We got to Kansas City and got off the Plane and I was immediately hugged by a very handsome 6'1" guy, it took me a bit by surprise but there was Rick. We chit chatted a bit waiting for the luggage and then he handed me these :D

I then handed them back to him, cause I don't know my way around. So we finally get the luggage and then put everything in the trunk and head to his house.
The man starts getting out his Supernatural Collections and let me tell you... It is extensive. I got goose bumps on all the stuff he has. I gave him the gifts I brought, the dream catcher, a Jayne hat and a T-Shirt.
We kept on talking and time just flew by. He then took us out to Dinner for Kansas BBQ, I got the burned bits platter and it was so good. Anika was funny she chose a Chicken Ceasar Salad, so she deserved that we made fun of her.
Then it started to pour down rain... and I mean God opened the floodgates kind of rain. Then as we were done there was an open window and we drove back to his place. and as soon as we got there same thing, buckets of water just came down. By that time it was like 7pm. So we decided to wait a bit, but in the end it didn't matter. So we got on the road.
Let me tell you thank goodness IH-35 was right there. And having no Power Brakes not a lot of fun. So I got thrown in the fire with learning how to drive Phantom. We did to an Emergency Douche up, with the GPS and Radar Detector, which in the end was not important cause I could only drive 45miles/hr if that. But by Midnight I was exhausted and decided to stop. We were a bit past Wichita and the hotel my husband had found us looked nice. We went in and asked for a room. They only had the expensive rate but then the girl saw the car and that we were Supernatural Fans and she gave us the Highway traveller rebate which was even cheaper then what my husband found. Anika and
I pretty much just fell into our beds cause we knew we had to leave only like 7hrs later to make it to Dallas by 1pm.

Part 2 will follow tomorrow...

Only 10 Days to go...

So after the fiasco with the tires... they are now in KS and will be put on this weekend. :D
The wiring harness for the front was shipped today and will be there on Thursday. Rick already installed the corner lights, but now he's gotta take the bumper off again to get the wiring done.

I booked the plane tickets today for Anika and I to fly to KS on next Thursday. We will get there at 1pm and then we get some BBQ and since I am up there I also have a business meeting.
We will hang out till maybe 8 ish and then hit the road to get to Dallas.

The plan is to get a Motel around midnight, just like Sam and Dean and then leave at 7am again hit the road to get to Dallas no later than noon. I can't wait to show her off. I also can't wait to meet Rick, and some of the other Impala owners that weekend.

Steve and I think the first thing that propably will be done is the Paint. once she is painted black she'll look amazing. Can't wait and then we start on the interior. I need to buy like something like 30 cans of dye. LOL Not looking forward to that. :D

Anyways, I am sure I get more pictures when Rick put the new wheels on and has the wiring installed.

But for now here is a short video he sent me.

1week update....

What a week it was...

I ordered the tires, and first pair I accidentally put the wrong shipping address on. So that order had to be cancelled and then re ordered. Then I was sitting talking to the hubby an  telling how big the rear tires are and he looks at the order and goes... "these are smaller than the front" I was like, wtf? So I did research cause I could not get a hold of Rick. And sure enough they had switched the link on him and I ordered 205's instead of 275's. So I had to call Discount Tires and they got a hold of UPS and stopped the delivery. They only charged me $12 which saved me a ton of shipping. So I reordered them. Just to let you know Discount Tires Direct has awesome Customer Service...
I also order the Bumperguards off of Ebay, they were cheap and Rick said, they look pretty bad. But I am planning on getting them rechromed with the bumpers. Which now I have to look for a front Bumper due to the one that's on there is a bit warped. But that can wait since I do have a bumper. And as you can see on the picture it doesn't look to bad.

Rick also fixed the breaks and thank goodness the think that was broken, there was a leak in the breakline and air had gotten into the master Cylinder. But him and his Dad fixed it and he said the brakes are almost brand new on there. So Woohoo for me driving with good breaks to Dallas. :D (he would have put new brakes on, if they were bad)

Now we are waiting for the Tires and the wiring harness for the front. He put the corner lights in they are just not hooked up yet. The company is trying to get them out on Tuesday, but can't Guarantee it. I am so excited... Only a week and a half and I get to drive her. I don't know if I am more excited about driving the car or seeing the boys. It's a bit of a Toss up.

Hear my baby purr....

And so it begins...

Rick called me yesterday and we decided on what he is going to work on before I go and get her.

He is fixing the breaks, since they went out on his trip back, I am just glad he survived. He thinks it's the Master Cylinder went out, so that's where he starts.

I also ordered the new wheels, tires, covers and lugnuts and I weeped just a little when I had to pay for it. But it's going to look so bad ass. I also got the Bumper guards, they are not the prettiest, and we might have to re chrome them, but man compared to others I got a deal on them.

I do need to call the tireplace, cause for some reason, I gave them my shipping address instead of Rick's Dads, which is where the shop is.

Rick is also installing the corner lights for us. So I have to order the wiring harness for that.

Once she gets home we decided to start on the interior, cause I only have till January to work on the car on weekends, cause after that I am working at the Faire and won't have free weekends till March. We also decided to go with the Ohio Plates, that way we won't have to put the spot lights on the car, which they have been gone since mid Season 3.

But for now I just can't wait to just touch her. I am so giddy, I just wanna jump in my car and drive to KS to just touch the hood and slide my hand over the curves.

I should get new pictures of her this afternoon and I can't wait to post them here. But for now, I am posting the Dream Catcher I made for the Weapon's Trunk.

I think the name will be Phantom...

I just got off the phone with Rick. He made it home in one piece, but he did have the trip from hell.

At this point I didn't even care about the Car anymore, I am just glad he made it home safe.

So it all started with his plane getting delayed in Chicago by 4hrs. Then the owner and him had a misunderstanding at the airport that caused another delay. Then there was terrantual rain, brakes issues, a highwaypatrol. Issues with credit cards and a blown tire. I hope one day he will write it all down for me to share with you guys, but right now, he is home save, after not sleeping for 36hrs and no food.
Baby Blue is in his drive way with not a scratch on her. The brakes need to be looked at, but other than that she has new engine, new transmission, new gastank, interior and pretty much new paint.

I really like the way she looks, but it's not what she will look like. So with all the crap that was going on, I think her name will be Phantom, like the Phantom Traveller.

I can now breathe and can't wait to pick her up in a couple of weeks.

Thank you Rick!!!
